The Shissar War was a devasting conflict in which the Shissar nearly conquered all of Norrath.
The Shissar War marks the end of the Age of Empire. When the Shissar first appeared, they seemed friendly and were welcomed to the dal empire, as so many other races before them. In truth, however, they were waiting for the perfect moment to betray the trust of the Dal and their allies. During an external conflict, that turned out to be initiated by the Shissar, the Shissar turned on the Elves and openly waged war. Almost all of Norrath had been conquered, when the Elven allies came to push the Shissar back. The alliance succeeded and sealed the Spires to the Shissar Empire.[1]
